NUS Taps the Power of CE-LIVE for its Annual Commencement Ceremonies
The National University of Singapore (NUS) continued in its celebration of excellence with its annual Commencement Ceremonies which began on 6 July 2006. To ease the live production process for 21 ceremonies held over the 10-days period, NUS harnessed the flexibility and convenience of CE-LIVE, a Live Events and Convocations solution customized by Click Grafix.
Integrated with SCALA, CE-LIVE enhanced and eased the experience of a live production with its practical features. With CE-LIVE, the names of the graduates were scanned from their cards into a database and unnecessary information was then filtered out by CE-LIVE and sequenced accordingly to sync with the order of names read out on stage.

CE-LIVE provided the video team with the flexibility of re-sequencing names and making text corrections over live video to suit unexpected events or last minute adjustments. With the aid of SCALA, the live transmission of the graduation ceremony is streamed live over the internet and output to four plasma screens outside the convocation hall for viewing. The live event in the convocation hall itself is projected onto a large screen on the stage and to two plasma screens.

In addition to highlighting the convocation ceremony, live interviews are also conducted with graduates and CE-LIVE provides superb flexibility for immediate live titling.The Principal Media Producer of NUS, Mr. Manual (Noli) R.
