For many of those who turned up for the free one day seminar on animation, video and multimedia broadcasting on 5 February at the Eastin Hotel, it was a very much an informative and educational session of digital discovery, especially with the introduction of new innovative multimedia application tools like Anark and Mirage.

The seminar began with a presentation of LightWave 3D by Tajino who impressed the crowd with his superbly quick modelling skills as he took them from basic modelling to organic and architectural modelling, highlighting the features of the software. This was followed by a short demonstration of Poser 5, the 3D-character design and animation tool for artists and animators, by Tajino as well. The presentations continued with a demo of live editing using VT3 by Mr. Ahmed Balfaqih, who was assisted by our handy cameraman who shot live footages on the spot. Many participants were also impressed and inspired by Anark, a new innovative multimedia application developed by Anark Corporation that enable digital content creators to cost-effectively author and deliver the most captivating interactive content available today. Our guest presenters and representative from Anark; Mr. Shawn Heinrichs and Justin Ebert, offered an interesting ½ hour demo of the capabilities of Anark and also showcased several captivating works done using Anark. Their presence at this seminar not only demonstrates their support and commitment to Anark's users but also to the Malaysian animation and video industry.

The seminar ended with a Lucky Draw and six participants went home with a big smile and useful prizes. Three participants won themselves a copy of Expose each, a definitive art book celebrating the creative talents of digital artists worldwide whereas three other lucky participants walked away with original copies of Mirage, LightWave 3D and Anark.

The Click Show aims to generate greater interest and awareness to the computer graphics (CG) community and educational sectors, of the progressing technology of digital content development and the availability of integrated tools for cost-effective digital productions in the local market. Said Mr. Ahmed Balfaqih (Managing Director of Click Grafix Sdn Bhd), "It is our goal to make this an annual activity that will eventually become a national and regionally recognised CG event among the CG community." The Click Show also seeks to be a vehicle that can offer students and educational sectors in particular, the opportunity for further motivation and exposure to the digital industry, in line with our attempt to boost Malaysia's aspiration to reach excellence and world class standard in the CG industry.

Click Grafix thanks Pacific Visuals Systems Sdn Bhd for all the support and assistance for this event, and also to all participants who've helped us pull this off.
