How Scala Works...

The field-proven Scala digital signage software suite consists of Scala Designer, Content Manager & Player that creates, manage and deliver dynamic media rich content to digital signage networks.
1. CREATING AND DESIGNING THE CONTENT
Digital content can be created using Scala Designer or Third Party tools.
A. Creating Content Using Scala Designer
Scala Designer is a diverse multimedia authoring software used to create content for digital signage playback. Packed with simple to advance tools, Scala Designer allows users to create stunning and dynamic digital content utilising motion, color, graphics, text animation, sound and special effects, creatively highlighting the message you want to emphasize.
B. Creating Content Using Third Party Tools
Scala’s support of third party integration using common applications such as Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, etc, provides users with flexibility to upload digital content into the Content Manager. Alternatively content created in third party software can also be integrated into Scala Designer for the addition of special effects, editing work or graphics manipulation to further enhance the impact of the digital content.
2. PUBLISH & MANAGE THE CONTENT WITH SCALA CONTENT MANAGER
The content created is then published to the Content Manager, a distribution and management software. Utilizing an intuitive, Internet-based interface, Scala scripts and media are effectively organized, scheduled, delivered and updated. Whether it is a small or large networks, the playback of content is fully managed and monitored, thereby keeping media messages up and running with ease. Because it is accessed from a web-browser, users have the flexibility of accessing the network easily from anywhere with Internet connection.
3. PLAYBACK USING SCALA PLAYER
Managed entirely through the Content Manager, the Player provides stable reliable multimedia 24/7/365 playback for virtually any environment. Based on a ‘store-and-play’ concept, the content sent by the Content Manager remains stored in the Player PC prior to the playback, allowing the content to continue playing 24/7 in the absence of a network connection. The content can be fully dynamic and data-driven (e.g POS databases) at remote playback locations.
