InfoChannel Network Manager 3... Multimedia
Management Software
InfoChannel Network Manager 3 is a server-based application that schedules
the transmissions of multimedia content to hundreds, even thousands
of display monitors (plasmas, TVs, kiosks) from a single desktop.
Advertising, news, training or virtually any other visual communication
can be easily distributed to InfoChannel Players via any standard
network. Content created using InfoChannel Designer 3 or Reporter
3 is automatically routed to the intended players.
InfoChannel Network Manager 3 manages the distribution
of content on an InfoChannel network as well as the monitoring of
the network itself. Among the capabilities this new product provides
is support for multiple authoring stations - i.e even more than
one person working on the same script at the same time - allowing
more content to be produced and broadcast sooner. The new software
employs a pull as a push approach to distributing
content to players. This enables multiple players to receive content
at the same time, rather than serially. It also gives users the
flexibility to schedule updates at particular times of the day if
they choose.
In addition, with design and broadcasting
components now separated, design stations can resume the design
process immediately after publishing to the InfoChannel Network.
A new network-monitoring feature automatically alerts the network
administrator when problems arise. No longer tied to a specific
console, the administrator can access and control the network from
anywhere using a Web browser.
