 InfoChannel Player 3... Remote Playback

InfoChannel Player 3 provides stable reliable multimedia playback for virtually any environment including retail Dynamic Signage, corporate communications, cable TV, government, or transportation. Users can create content using InfoChannel Designer 3 or Reporter 3, and broadcast using Network Manager 3 (and Broadcast Server 3 for satellite/multicast). The player will continuously run and update the content on Dynamic Signage displays including plasma, TV or kiosks. Text, graphics, sound and video can be dynamically scheduled and customized at each location.

InfoChannel Player 3 incorporates powerful new capabilities that enable users to target their message as never before. The addition of support for Windows Script Host (WSH) allows for the seamless interaction between player and other systems. Popular languages such as JavaScript and VBScipt interact with WSH to enable an InfoChannel broadcast to incorporate live data feeds to automatically alter pre-defined content on players, if desired. For example, in a retail environment out-of-stock data from a store’s inventory management system could trigger a change in the InfoChannel point-of-sale displays to highlight other items instead. Also new is support for MP3 audio files and MPEG2 video. With the addition of MPEG2 there is also no longer a need for add-in hardware, thus lowering the cost of the target PC.
