Features Xternal Control
Video Toaster [2] gives you what you most want with your productions: Control. One of the key ways of controlling input and output is by remotely controlling your decks and cameras using the Video Toaster [2] Xternal Control module.

Whether you choose to communicate with your external gear via serial port, or using any one of the three RS-422 controllers on the SX-8 Switcher Expansion Module, you are given complete control with an intuitive virtual VCR interface. All the familiar controls you’d expect to find on a deck are there: play, pause, rewind, fast forward stop and record. The time-code window indicates the tape’s location while playing.

Capture works closely with Toaster Switcher as well, and can be assigned to a particular switcher input. This means that Video Toaster [2] gives you both internal (DDR) and external deck control during a live production or a busy edit session.
